To many, she’s Rhonda, Muriel’s best friend in Muriel’s Wedding. To others, she’s the powerful Sarah Walker on Brothers and Sisters and very soon, we’ll get to know her in another role as Aussie favourite Rachel Griffiths is joining the cast of the Channel 9 drama House Husbands.
While not much is known about the role, Griffiths will be seen in the show’s up-coming third season playing Belle, a trouble maker set out to cause some ripples within the House Husbands gang.
“Rachel Griffiths brings Hollywood star power to the already impressive House Husbands line up. We feel very privileged to be working with such a talented cast,” Nine’s Heads of Drama, Jo Rooney and Andy Ryan, said
Recently, Griffiths has been splitting her time between Australia and the US with roles in Magazine Wars and the Tom Hanks movie Saving Mr Banks and even though it’s been two years since the end of the popular Brother’s and Sisters, Griffiths was seen as recently as last year in the NBC comedy/Drama Camp.
Production on the third season of House Husbands has only just begun with the season set to air later this year on Channel 9.
