Continuing on with their very cool Pop! Vinyl Television line which currently includes the likes of Orange is the new Black, The Walking Dead, The X-Files and the soon-to-be-released Friends line, Funko have now released the first images from the brand spanking new Saved by the Bell collection!  Everyone from Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) to AC Slater (Mario Lopez) and even Lisa Turtle (Lark Voohries), the whole gang (minus Mr. Belding) is now available for pre-order with a set December 2015 release – just in time for Christmas!

And in a recent twitter Q&A session, Funko also revealed some exciting new lines coming to the pop! Vinyl Television family..

Whilst I await any announcement of a Melrose Place pop! Vinyl line, we can all check out the newest Saved by the Bell pops below!

Game of Thrones Renewed for Two More Years

Considering Game of Thrones season 4 premiere episode broke a whole slew of records for not only HBO but also Foxtel’s Showcase channel, it’s no real surprise that Game of Thrones has officially been renewed for not only a fifth season, but a sixth as well.

Showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff have already signed on for two more seasons, and actors Michel Huisman and Nathalie Emmanuel were promoted to series regulars for Season 5.

The series of civil war, extreme weather and mythical creatures is shaping up to be the Time Warner Inc-owned network’s biggest show since The Sopranos.  After the slaughter of the main members of the Stark family in the “Red Wedding” episode (Myhsa) last season, the season four premiere saw the remaining Starks coming to terms with the deaths of their kin.  Arya Stark, played by 16-year-old Maisie Williams, took a dark, cruel turn as she exacted revenge for her family.

There were some rumblings of late about the theme of the next American Horror Story and last week, it was revealed that the new season would be set around a 1950’s carnival in Germany and now, co-creator Ryan Murphy yesterday revealed the seasons subtitle via twitter…

The carnival circus theme is actually happening just as many fans had hoped it would.  Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates are all on board for the new season!

Orphan Black Season 2 Air Date Announced

Card carrying members of the clone club can rejoice!  Orphan Black’s long awaited season 2 air date has finally been announced! Bad news is that we will have to wait until April 19th next year before catching with Sarah and her clones.

The news was revealed during BBC America’s screening of “Doctor Who’s” “The Day Of The Doctor” 50th anniversary special along with a very quick teaser trailer (which can be watched below!)

The official synopsis of season two states: Season 2 of the series hits the ground running with Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) in a desperate race to find her missing daughter Kira (Skyler Wexler, Carrie). Her scorched earth tactics spark a war with pro-clone, Rachel (Maslany), dividing and imperiling all the clones. As Sarah discovers more about her past, mysterious newcomers appear, but can they be trusted?

Back in September, it was revealed that production on season two had begun with lead Tatiana Maslany back along with Jordan Gavaris, Dylan Bruce and Maria Doyle Kennedy all returning for the new episodes.   “We’re truly amazed at the incredible response we received from TV critics and fans alike since the beginning of this series,” David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg, executive producers and co-presidents at Temple Street Productions, said in a statement. “We’re delighted to have the opportunity with our supportive partners BBC America and Space to continue on this amazing journey and to answering some of the impending questions fans were left with from the end of last season.”

Orphan Black season 1 is set to air for the first time in Australia on SBS2 in early 2014.

Our favorite vampires and shifters will be leaving our screens at the end of the True Blood‘s seventh season, due to air mid 2014.

HBO announced yesterday that True Blood’s 10 episode season seven will be the shows last.  The show has been a defining part of TV culture and HBO’s programming president promises the last installment will be nothing short of incredible when it airs in 2014.

“True Blood has been nothing short of a defining show for HBO,” Michael Lombardo said in a statement.

“Alan Ball took the books by Charlaine Harris, assembled a brilliant cast led by the magnificent Anna Paquin in the role of Sookie Stackhouse, and crafted a show that has taken its many devoted fans on an unforgettable journey.”

“Together with its legions of fans, it will be hard to say goodbye to the residents of Bon Temps, but I look forward to what promises to be a fantastic final chapter of this incredible show.”

The show recently ended it’s sixth season revealing vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) as the new mayor of Bon Temps and Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Alcide (Joe Manganiello) happily together in a relationship while Eric’s (Alexander Skarsgård) whereabouts remains unknown after loosing his ability to walk in daylight (last we saw him, he was enveloped in a ball of fire…)

True Blood returns to FOXTEL mid next year for it’s final season.

Renewed: The Carrie Diaries

CW network in the US have just announced that The Carrie Diaries‘ is coming back for a second season.

The show, which is a spin-off from iconic Sex and the City and follows a young Carrie Bradshaw in the 80’s experiencing her first taste of the glitzy life of New York City, started off slowly but began to garner higher ratings as the season progressed and actually rates highly via CW online streaming (coming in second to The Vampire Diaries)

Season two is expected to focus more on Carrie and her life working with Interview Magazine in Manhattan while juggling life back home with friends and family.

The CW also announced that Nikita will return for a fourth season.

The Carrie Diaries Season 1 aired on Fox8.
