Without a doubt, one of the biggest pop culture phenomenons to take the collecting market by storm within the past few years is the POP! Vinyl figures by Funko.

The cute 3.75″ figures with distinguishing features and over sized heads have pretty much made their way into almost everyone’s home one way or another.  Between Funko’s tiny Mystery Minis, retro ReAction Figures and articulated Legacy Figures, It’s the POP! Vinyls that have truly made an impact on collectors.

With around 180+ licenses on hand, Funko have been able to give fans a little bit of collector colour to liven up desks, cars and shelves with everything from Walking Dead characters to Marvel Comic heroes to the FRIENDS cast and The X-Files’ Mulder and Scully all available for purchase.

I myself have a small selection of POPs that include specific characters that I’ve come to adore including Orphan Black’s Alison Hendrix, X-Men’s Storm, AHS Coven’s Fiona Goode and Game of Thrones Brienne of Tarth – plus I have some of the FRIENDS POPs on my radar – BUT – looking at my collection, it does feel like there are a few lines missing that NEED to be made.

==Melrose Place==

Easily the top of my WANT list.  The show that WAS the 90’s and made a special guest star out of Heather Locklear and declared “Monday Night’s a Bitch” still has a strong connection with fans to this day so having an Amanda Woodward in power suit, Kimberly Shaw (Marcia Cross) with removable wig, Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro) with stethoscope and Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton) with a blackmailing envelope POPs would be awesome!

==Clueless==

Oh as if!  Just like Melrose Place was for TV, Clueless was the cool, funny, hip and witty movie of our generation.  Lines like “my plastic surgeon doesn’t want me doing any activity where balls fly at my nose” and “She could be a farmer in those clothes!” are just the tip of the pop cultural phenomenon that was/is this movie.  The only trouble would be trying to decide what to dress Cher (Alicia Silverstone) Tai (Brittany Murphy) and Dionne (Stacey Dash) in (it’s reported that each character had almost 60 outfit changes during the movie!)

Update – CLUELESS POPS are coming!  Set to be released in March 2016, Cher, Dionne AND Amber will be all available to buy and the best bit, i’m loving Amber and her ‘whatever’ pose!

==SCREAM==

Funnily enough, Funko already own a licence for Scream but for some unknown reason have yet to do anything with it besides a ghostface ReAction figure.  This clearly begs for at the very least, the first (and best of the series) movie’s cast to be given the POP treatment.

==Sex and the City==

With the classic Golden Girls cast set to be immortalized in POP form later this year, it only seems fitting that its more risque and equally popular successor gets the same treatment.  Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and co pushed the boundaries when it came to sex and sexual culture on television and quickly became a cultural phenomenon.

==Will & Grace==

This is surely a given considering a) FRIENDS POPs are on their way and b) the shows pop culture impact on introducing lead characters that are gay.  Will and Grace was just as popular as FRIENDS and tell me how many gay boys haven’t wanted to own their very own Karen Walker (with martini)?!

==Charlie’s Angels==

“Hello Charlie!” You think 70’s, you think pop culture, you think gorgeous women kicking butt, you think Charlie’s Angels!  Weather it’s Farrah Fawcett in the red bathing suit or Kate Jackson being the sensibly dressed one, Charlie’s Angels had a hold on viewers world wide and it’s only fair we see them presented in POP Vinyl form.

==Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion==

I’m just going to sit here and let the thought of this sink in……..

I KNOW RIGHT?!  The blondes who have more fun NEED some POP! Vinyl love for sure.  They could come holding little post-it notes or holding a flip-phone, could come dressed in 80’s Madonna-esque outfits or thier modern pink and purple dresses.  Either way, as long as I get to re create the “first you need to thermoset your resin”scene, i’d be very happy!
